The short version. We collect what we need to run your account, the community and the Builder board. We don't sell your data and don't use ad trackers. Private messages stay private unless someone reports one or our scam check holds it. Wallet activity is public on the Solana blockchain.

What we collect

Account details: your email, display name, @handle, profile photo, bio, mission, location and links you choose to add. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Amazon we receive your name, email and (from Google) profile photo.
Wallet addresses you connect or link, and your CARS balance read from the blockchain to set your member tier.
Content you post: posts, comments, photos, projects, pledges and support tickets.
Private messages between members, stored so they can be delivered and shown to the people in the conversation.
Security records: sign-ins, failed sign-ins, password resets and moderation actions. IP addresses are stored only as short one-way codes, not in full.
Visit counts: pages viewed, referring site and device type, using our own analytics. No ad trackers and no tracking cookies. Visitors are counted with a code that changes every day. If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", we count the visit without that code.

How we use it

To run your account, the community, member tiers, partner discounts and the Builder board.
To keep members safe: automatic checks for scams and explicit content, reviewing reports, and preventing abuse.
To answer support requests and send account emails (confirmations, password resets, ticket replies, policy notices).
To understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.

Who can see what

Public: your display name, @handle, photo, bio, mission, public posts and comments, and (unless you choose to back anonymously) your name on backer lists.
Moderators: reported or held content, including a private message only if it is reported or held by the scam check; account details needed to resolve support tickets and enforce the Policies.
Service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, email, and if enabled an image-safety service that checks uploaded photos for explicit content). They may only use the data to provide their service.
Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.
We do not sell your personal information.

The blockchain is public

Wallet addresses, token balances and transactions on Solana are public and permanent. We can't change or delete blockchain records.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep account data while your account is open. Security records are kept for up to 12 months and visit counts for up to 13 months.
You can edit your profile at any time, delete your posts and comments, and ask us to delete your account through Support. We may keep limited records where the law requires it or to prevent fraud and repeat abuse.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to some uses. Contact us through Help & support and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

Cars Coin is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete such accounts.

Changes

We will post updates here and ask you to accept the new version when you next use the Site.
